WorldSkills India

WorldSkills India, an initiative of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) working under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has been leading the country's participation at WorldSkills International competitions since 2011. Imprinting its presence globally, India succeeded in winning 8 Medallions of Excellence at the competition in Sao Paolo, Brazil in 2015. While WorldSkills Abu Dhabi, 2017 concluded with India winning one Silver, one Bronze medal and nine Medallions of Excellence, impressing the world with its talent and artistry.

IndiaSkills Competition

Similar to WorldSkills Competition, lndiaSkills Competition is held every two years at national level by NSDC in partnership with state governments and industries. Skilled youth from across the nation compete against each other in their respective skills and the winners of the national competition further nurture their skills over the next one year and prepare themselves to represent India at WorldSkills Competition.

IndiaSkills West 2018 - Jaipur

Date : 24th - 26th May 2018 Venue: Jaipur International Exhibition & Convention Center

IndiaSkills West 2018 was organized at Jaipur Internaitonal Exhibition Center with the support from industry & academic partners. The competition was inaugurated by Mr. Rohim Momin, Bricklayerwho represented India at WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017.

Candidates from Gujarat,Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradeshand Maharashtra competed atthisevent.

IndiaSkills North 2018 - Lucknow

Date : 31st May - 1st June 2018 Venue : Indira Gandhi Pratishthan

IndiaSkills North 2018 was organized at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan with the support from indusrty & academic partners. The competition was inaugurated by Shri. Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister,Uttar Pradesh.

Competitors from Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh and Punjab competed at the event. Shri Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh felicitated the winners during the closing ceremony

IndiaSkills South 2018 – Bangalore

Date : 21st June - 23rd June 2018 Venue : Bangalore International and Exhibition Center

IndiaSkills Bangalore 2018 was organized at Bangalore International and Exhibition Center from 21st to 23rd June 2018. Apart from BICC, the competition was organized at 6 different venues in collaboration with academic institute & industry partners.

A round table conference with industry stakeholders was also organized to mobilize greater support for Skill India. Shri Anant kumar Hegde, Minister of State for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, felicitated the winners during the closing ceremony at BICC on 23rd evening

IndiaSkills East 2018 - Bhubaneswar

Date : 15th July - 17th July 2018 Venue : Shiksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University

IndiaSkills East 2018 was organized at Siksha O Anusandhan University from 15th to 17th July 2018. Apart from SoA, the competitions were organized at 3 different locations in collaboration with academic institute & industry partners.
Along with skill competitions, mega counselling camp, skill exhibition were major attractions among the youth. Industry round table conference and Panel discussions were organized which saw great participation from the industry. This helped in gaining support for the overall Skill India Mission.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India, inaugurated the IndiaSkills East on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day.
