IndiaSkills is organised by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), in coordination with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), state governments, sector skill councils and industry. The competition is held once every two years, where skilled youth under the age of 18 years from across the country compete against each other for the honour of representing India at the WorldSkills International competition – the Olympic equivalent for skills competitions.
Established in 1950, World Skills International is a membership organisation, and holds the largest skill competition for youth in the world – the WorldSkills International Competition.
